LBCT implements stringent protocols to safeguard employees, clients, and the environment, embedding a culture of security and reliability in all our operations. LBCT is recognized as a global leader in environmentally sustainable goods movement. We were invited to the White House to provide input on how the administration can better support net zero transitions, and we were awarded the prestigious Sustainable Innovation Project of the Year by the U.S. Green Building Council. New zero-emission equipment deployed on our terminal will be human operated and built by American manufacturers, which allows us to keep a strong waterfront workforce.

Education & Workforce Development
Our people explore and use the best technology but also set challenging goals for themselves and their work groups to maintain operational excellence. We are working to prepare our own employees for the zero- emission transition. As part of the final equipment transitions, LBCT’s management team will conduct ongoing demonstrations, report on performance metrics, and document opportunities and challenges all while working closely with the workforce to ensure buy-in. All new cargo handling equipment will be accompanied by hands on and training to further ensure LBCT’s top priorities: safety, security, sustainability, and efficiency.
